Why choose a cat water fountain?

Many cats seem to prefer moving water to a still bowl, and a cat water fountain keeps a gentle flow going through the day. Dogs can use the same style, especially smaller breeds. Place the fountain on a flat surface away from your pet's food and litter box, since many cats avoid drinking next to either. Fill it with clean water to the marked level, check that the pump is submerged, and keep the cord tidy and out of chewing reach. Introduce it slowly: leave the old bowl out for a few days while your cat explores the new one.

Cleaning and filter care

Take it apart and wash every piece with warm soapy water once a week, paying attention to the pump and any crevices where film builds up. Swap filters on the schedule in the instructions, and top up water daily. A quiet pump that suddenly gets loud is usually low on water or needs a clean.
