Sable Halter Neck Striped Cami Top

Stripes and a halter neck are a combination that has been quietly working for decades, and Sable has not tried to improve on it. The neckline ties behind the neck, which leaves the shoulders and upper back completely open, and the ruching through the body gathers the fabric so the top follows your shape rather than hanging off it. It is short, it is simple and it does a great deal with very little.

The fabric is 100% polyester with a slight stretch, and ruched and tied are the two features listed. Those two things work together: the tie lets you set the fit at the neck exactly where you want it, and the ruching takes up the slack through the body so nothing gapes. Three colours are available and each takes the stripe somewhere different. Blue is the classic nautical read and the easiest to wear. Black is the sharpest and the most useful after dark. Yellow is the one that makes the whole outfit feel like a holiday.

Sizes run S, M and L. Top length measures 18.1 inches on a size S, 18.5 inches on an M and 18.9 inches on an L, so this sits cropped and is designed to show a little waist. The bust measures 34.6 to 35.4 inches on a size S, 36.2 to 37 inches on an M and 37.8 to 38.6 inches on an L. Because the back and shoulders are bare, this is a top that wants a high waisted partner underneath. Try it with wide leg linen trousers, a denim skirt or high rise shorts through the summer. Black works surprisingly well with tailoring if you throw a blazer over the top for the evening. Blue belongs with white denim, and yellow needs nothing more than bare legs and flat sandals.
