Off Shoulder Floral Slit Dress

The off shoulder neckline is the first thing you notice and the slit is the second. Together they give this dress a lot of movement for something that is genuinely easy to put on. The smocking is why the waist and hip measurements are given as ranges rather than fixed numbers: at S the waist spans 20.5 to 39.4 inches and the hip 21.3 to 41.7 inches, and the range widens through to 2XL at 26.8 to 45.7 inches in the waist. Length stays close to 42 inches across the size run, so the slit is doing the work of letting you walk properly. Three colours are available: Deep Teal, Dark Navy and Burgundy, all deep enough to carry the floral print without shouting.

This one goes straight from a summer evening to a night out with almost no effort. Add a heeled sandal and let the slit show, or flatten it out with a slide and a woven bag for a daytime version. Because the shoulders are bare, a delicate chain sits nicely at the collarbone, and a cropped jacket over the top gives you something to do with your arms when the air cools.
