Pet Supplies

What pet supplies do dogs and cats actually need?

Good pet supplies cover the daily basics first: somewhere comfortable to sleep, a bowl that suits how your pet eats, fresh water, and a way to keep their coat clean. Everything else is about making life easier for you and nicer for them. Our range is built around those basics for both dogs and cats.

Dog supplies and cat supplies, side by side

Many dog supplies and cat supplies overlap, which is handy in a mixed household. Beds and nests, ceramic and elevated bowls, slow feeders and automatic water fountains work for either species. Cats tend to add scratchers, tunnels and hammocks, while dogs lean towards carriers, bath gear and outdoor items. Match the size of the item to your pet, not to their age.

Dog grooming supplies and cat grooming supplies

• Slicker brushes and hair remover combs for loose fur on furniture and clothes
• Grooming gloves for pets who dislike a brush
• Bath brushes, shower hammocks and quick dry towels for wash day
• Hair clippers and nail care tools for home trims

Start any grooming routine slowly. Let your pet sniff each tool, keep sessions short and offer a treat afterwards. If you are unsure about clipping or a skin concern, ask your groomer or vet. This is general guidance, not veterinary advice. Measure before you buy. For beds, measure your pet stretched out and add a few inches. For bowls, think about muzzle shape: flat faced pets often like shallow or tilted bowls, while long eared dogs may prefer a narrower rim. Washable fabrics and smooth ceramic or steel surfaces make daily cleaning quicker.
